This fifth generation farm family took a product that’s abundant in Illinois, corn, and is making it into farm to sprit whiskey and vodka.

Whiskey Acres is one of two certified “on-farm” craft whiskey distilleries in the US and the first estate distillery in Illinois.

What does it take to make the finest whiskey in the world? Start with the finest grains grown on the best soils the earth has to offer. Add water naturally filtered by the limestone aquifer found deep under those same soils. Then complete the task by handcrafting a distilled spirit using the same hands of the 5th generation farmers who grew that grain. They know the land, its ingredients, and what it means to pay attention to detail. Blend together using equipment and know-how forged in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Add a little patience.

Tours occur every hour on the hour, with the last tour starting one hour before close. Cocktails are available to purchase by the glass to enjoy in the tasting room or on the cocktail patio. You're also able to pick up branded logo wear, bottles of whiskey, bourbon, rye, and vodka while you enjoy the farm. During the summer months, they have food trucks and live music every Friday.
