The Oregon Ganymedes Vintage Base Ball Club starts their 17th season of playing vintage-rules base ball games on the lawn of the Chana School Museum at 201 North River Road in Oregon. This season the club hosts four home games.
A little about the team:The team plays by the early rules of 1858 through 1867 base ball (it was two words then) wearing authentic wool uniforms of the era when players did not wear gloves and gentlemanly behavior and good sportsmanship was the norm. They play against other vintage teams representing historic small towns and museums all over Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri and beyond.
The Oregon Ganymedes Vintage Base Ball Club is an all-volunteer educational outreach program of the Chana School Museum. This club has been playing vintage rules base ball games against other vintage clubs from all over the Midwest since 2005.
