On January 25th, the Chinese calendar officially switches over to the new year, the Year of the Rat. As the home to Chinatown and as a multicultural hub, Chicago celebrates Chinese New Year all over the city. Here are a few events to check out while you’re in town for the celebration.
Global Connections: Chinese New Year @ Navy Pier
In partnership with the Chinese Fine Arts Society, Navy Pier and ComEd are presenting a free afternoon celebration in the Aon Ballroom. The event promises live dance and music performances, crafts, costumes, and traditional food provided by New Furama Restaurant.
