According to readers of Midwest Living magazine, the metro area of Champaign-Urbana is the Great Food Town in the Midwest.

The honor springs from a contest held from May 1–31, 2017, during which readers voted to determine the region's culinary capital among a dozen cities with a population of under 750,000.
