Stay and play in the great outdoors, just a mile and a half off Interstate 57! This tranquil getaway will provide outdoor recreation opportunities for the whole family while not straying too far from the main thoroughfare.

Arrowhead Recreation and Wildlife Area is located just off Interstate 57 at Johnston City, Illinois (Exit 59) in Williamson County. The area boasts a 30-acre lake, cabins, a walking path, and sites for RVs as well as tent camping.

Arrowhead Lake lake stocked with bass, bluegill, redear, crappie, and channel catfish. There is a paved boat ramp for boats with trolling motors only. There is a dock and plenty of shoreline for fishing.

There are 65 sites, 2 cabins, and tent sites available.  Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Electric (30 & 50 amp service) and water hookups are available at all sites. Handicap-accessible campsites are available. Tent camping is $12/day, RV sites are $17-22, and cabins range from $40-60.

Other amenities on the grounds consist of a 2.25-mile nature trail that wraps around the beautiful lake, 2 playgrounds, 2 large shelters, 3 small shelters, a shower house, and a coin-operated laundry. You can also check out lawn games from the camp store/office.

For the child at heart playing Pokemon Go, there are 3 Pokestops within the campground and 3 Gyms within walking distance.

Fish, hike, play ball, or just relax. There is a little something for everyone at Arrowhead Lake Campground!
