Season Opening at John Deere Historic Site

There would be no Deere & Company without Grand Detour, just north of Dixon on Highway 2. The John Deere Historic Site is reopening for visitors this season.

It’s where the whole “green tractor” thing started! The 2024 season will run from April 2 through October. During the year, many events occur at the site. 

Free admission year-round.

Closed on Mondays.
