The Warrior Dash in Channahon, IL is the world's largest running series. Held on challenging and rugged terrain, people come from all over to participate in feats of courage and strength; like sprinting over fire, trudging through mud and scaling at least 12 obstacles during this fierce 5K. From couch potatoes to novice runners to extreme athletes, Warrior Dash truly is an event for all athletic abilities.

This festival is attended by approximately 50,000 during the course of the weekend. PrairieFest events are held throughout Oswego with the main festival grounds located at PrairieFest Park, 91 Plank Road. The Rialto Square/ComEd Festival of Trees is a week-long extravaganza to kick off the holiday season! Santa 5K/Santa Stroll 1/Mile Walk
Imagine 400 Santas identically dressed running or strolling throughout downtown Joliet! This was an event presented by the JTHS Alumni Association in November of 2014 with the inaugural untimed family Santa Run 5K/Santa Stroll 1/Mile walk. All registered participants receive a five-piece Santa suit to keep that included the hat, beard, jacket, belt and pants. Stroll starts Saturday, November 29, at 9 a.m. The start and finish line is at JT Central High School.
