Jars, Jewels, Jellyrolls - Bishop Hill Quilt Show
The annual quilt show is like a needle and thread as it, too, joins together family members and friends to create something memorable. This event continues to grow and over 100 quilts and quilted pieces are entered in this judged show at the Colony School. Be sure to visit the Village Smithy and VagnHall Galleri to see additional quilts on display.

Fight to the Finish 5k
A 5K race of extreme obstacles and challenging terrain to benefit Children’s Hospital of Illinois. The patients and families helped through Children’s Hospital face obstacles every day, some small and some life changing. As you pull yourself up a brick wall, crawl through the mud and fight to get through the water first, you’ll be reminded of those challenges. Funds raised from this event will be used to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Pediatric Healthy Living Program. Join us for the race, but plan for a fun day full of activities. There is something for everyone. Make your way through the vendor area on your way to enjoy a bite to eat from several local restaurants. Young visitors will enjoy the kid's activity area! This section opens at 9AM and admission is $5 per child (free to those who are racing in the Kids Run). The kid's activity area includes a hula hoop contest, healthy eating station, healthy activity station, face painting and glitter tattoos by the Zoo Lady & the Zoo Crew.
Summer Camp Music Festival
The first Summer Camp Music Festival was held in 2001 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL. About 1,000 attended the festival that year, and enjoyed over 20 bands on 2 stages over the course of 2 days. Since then, Summer Camp Music Festival has grown to more than 15,000 attendees, hosting more than 100 bands on 7 stages over 3 days. And while our numbers have grown, Summer Camp still maintains the same energy and family feel we had when we started over a decade ago. As one fan put it, “Coming to Summer Camp is like coming home.” You’ll run into old friends, meet a ton of great new ones, and have the time of your life.
