Illinois State Fair
Make plans now to bring the entire family for adventure, thrills, top name entertainment and the best agriculture exhibition in the country! Each August, hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to Springfield for the Illinois State Fair. Enjoy 10 days of Illinois excitement and entertainment, with everything from top name stars to carnival rides, food, contests, concerts, livestock shows and auto racing.
Festival of the Vine
Geneva restaurants create an array of specialties under an outdoor tent at the “Flavor Fare” partnered with wine and live musical entertainment. The Fall Harvest Market offers food and floral demos, unique displays plus Kid’s Patch activities. An arts and crafts show, flower market, horse-drawn carriage rides and several exceptional wine tasting and dinner events also take place around the historic downtown.
Nouveau Wine Weekend
Downtown Galena comes alive with the release of Galena Cellars Vineyard and Winery's Nouveau Wine. A traditional French stew, paired with Nouveau wine is served at most local restaurants, followed by horse-drawn wagon deliveries down Main Street. Take your choice of various downtown locations for one of the afternoon wine and cheese parties or plan to celebrate with all of them.
“Ciao” on delicious Italian food and delight in a grand parade. There will be midway rides and games, live music, a bocce tournament, a grape stomp, a pasta cook-off, a kids pet and bike parade, a road race and an art contest.
DeKalb Corn Fest
Corn Fest is one of the last, free, summer, music festivals among Illinois music and summer festivals in Illinois. Well over 100,000 people from around Illinois and the Midwest attend the music festival over a three day weekend. This festival features a carnival complete with rides and games, food booths, free live music, kiddie korner with large inflatables, family entertainment and much more. Friday night is carnival wristband nights for the kids with unlimited rides from 6-10pm. Festival areas feature food and business vendor booths, and a beer garden
Ravinia Festival 2014
Another exciting year of entertainment at the Ravinia Festival. With a variety of performances, there is something for everyone. Jersey County Fair
Food, merchandise, vendors and more. A week-long annual county fair offering rare glimpses of livestock, agriculture competitions mixed with nightly entertainment. Don't miss the NTPA tractor and truck pulls, a monster truck challenge, demolition derby and Queen competitions. General admission is $2 per person, children under 13 free. Separate pricing for grandstand events.
Stephenson County Fair
Old fashioned county fair, with food, carnival rides, animals, entertainment, tractor pulls, Home Ec displays, animals, youth night, musical entertainment, commercial exhibits, 4-H and more. Jerrod Niemann will perform with special guest Chris Cavanaugh on Saturday, July 12 at 7:45 pm at the Grandstand. Tickets go on sale on June 9 at the fair office. Standing room only and track seating is $20 and general grandstand seating is $10 before July 5 and $12 after July 5. Gate Admission: TBA
Join Corvette enthusiasts at one of the largest car shows in the nation! Over 13,000 Corvettes are expected to be on display at this event hosted by Mid America Motorworks. Activities include a live Corvette auction, burn-out competitions, technical seminars, live musical entertainment, celebrity autographs and much more!
Effingham County Fair

Farm Heritage Festival
This two-day event celebrates farm life from the turn of the century to the present. Entertainment includes Border Collie sheep herding, wagon and barrel train rides, rope and scarecrow making, a tractor and antique vehicle parade, live music, quilting and heritage crafts, and a large model train display.
Kewanee Hog Days

Clayville Fall Festival

Always held the Wednesday after Labor Day. This large DeKalb County Fair held at the fairgrounds on Illinois Route 34, just south of DeKalb, in Sandwich. There will be a carnival, lots of different food vendors, entertainment for all tastes, horse shows to enjoy, truck and tractor pulls, and so much more.
SOB Fest/Springfield Oyster & Brew Festival

Saturday is Cruise Night, complete with a free concert by Vintage Vinyl, a classic car cruise, food vendors, beer garden and more. The Classic Car Show is on Sunday featuring over 1,000 cars on display. This event is free to attend.
71st Annual National Sweetcorn Festival
Diligence, family, and a whole lot of corn! Each and every Labor Day weekend, for the past 70 years, the Hoopeston Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) hosts the National Sweetcorn Festival. Classic American festival events include a midway full of carnival rides, games, and stands of delicious fried goodness, smashing cars at the demo derby, and a grand parade featuring marching bands, pageant queens, and plenty of candy. Being the National Sweetcorn Capital of the World, Hoopeston has to have their own unique twists to the festival. An antique steam engine cooks more than 50 tons hot buttered sweetcorn and is served up to approximately 20,000 visitors over the course of the weekend free of charge! With a line that wraps around the park, it is clear that Hoopeston really does sweetcorn the right way, the best way.
Prairie Chicken Festival
The Walldogs are doing it again. Painting a historic wall mural #16 on the Wanee Theatre and will feature the Neville Brothers. Celebrate the Praire Chicken Festival with Prairie Chicken Beer now available at Good’s Furniture Store. Kids can play in a giant sandbox and enjoy a magician show. View local art and walk the History in the Paint Public Art showcasing Kewanee’s historic past and experience the present by shopping downtown shops. Musical entertainment will be featured throughout the festival.

The Visionaries: A Steampunk Expo
In Conjunction with the City of Lockport's summer art series, the Visionaries, a Steampunk Expo, will be held at The Gaylord Building. This event will feature makers and retailers of "steampunk" art and merchandise. The Visionaries Gala Weekend will be held the same weekend with weekend activities that will include food and entertainment throughout historic downtown Lockport.
Erin Feis Annual Irish Festival
The Peoria Park District and the St. Patrick Society of Peoria are pleased to welcome back the annual Irish Festival, Erin Feis! Festival of Trees
Annually, more than 14,000 visitors stream through the David S. Palmer Arena to see beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, participate in activities and entertainment, special events, and the sounds and tastes of the holidays at the Danville Festival of Trees. Proceeds from the Festival of Trees fund outreach programs that give back to the greater Danville community.

Effingham County Fair 2014
