Long Grove's Annual Strawberry Festival
The pleasures of summer are celebrated with “berry” wonderful strawberry-inspired treats. Strawberry lovers of all ages flock to Long Grove’s renown fest to enjoy chocolate covered strawberries, fruit smoothies, and other strawberry drinks, ice creams, strawberry donuts, baked goods and, of course, the farm-fresh berries themselves. There is free live entertainment all three days at venues all over town and most of Long Grove’s many shops, galleries, cafes, and restaurants offer variations of strawberry-themed foods, drinks, and merchandise. This yearly festival has plenty of entertainment, food and fun. The Walleye is a feature for the festival with the fish being served daily. Windsor Harvest Picnic

Rockin in the Park
After last year’s successful inaugural celebration, the Village of Rosemont announces the return of their free summer concert series, ‘Rockin’ in The Park.’ Expanding upon last year’s series, the 2013 festival will be a summer-long concert series, beginning on Thursday, June 6 and continuing through Thursday, August 15. The festival, sponsored by WXRT, will feature eleven live bands, fireworks and food and beverage tents on the great lawn in the center of new MB Financial Park at Rosemont, located at 5501 Park Place, Rosemont. Throughout June, July, and August, there will be a variety of live music including 7th Heaven, Hi Infidelity, Kashmir, Spazmatics, Arra, Libido, Funk Circus, 16 Candles, American English, Modern Day Romeos, Infinity and Breakfast Club. Admission is free, parking is free with validation and outside coolers cannot be brought into the park.

Cedarville Summer Celebration
The 9th annual Cedarville Summer Celebration is a collaborative effort by the Village of Cedarville, Cedarville Lions Club and RAMP. There will be free hot dogs, chips and soda starting a 5 pm. There will be demonstrations by Cedarville Fire Department, games for kids, a vendor market, pillow bingo and Cake-n-roll with all proceeds to benefit RAMP services. At dusk there will be a huge blowout fireworks display. There is no charge to attend the event, but there will be charges for individual games.

Cobden Peach Festival
Celebrate the local peach harvest, sponsored by the Cobden Lions Club. Join us for fresh peaches from local orchards, carnival rides and games, crowning of ‘Miss Peach Queen’, homemade food and peach cobbler & pie with a 5K run/walk and parade on Saturday. Free admission.

Peoria RiverFront Farmers Market
Peoria's RiverFront Market features Illinois grown produce, local meats,cheeses, fresh breads, herbs, and flowers, plus a great selection of local art including jewelry, pottery, wood-turned items,candles, and much more. Only products grown or made in Illinois will be sold at our market. We are located in the Water Street parking lot (300 SW Water St), between Liberty and Harrison Streets, and also in the Liberty Park area. Plenty of free parking is available in surrounding lots and streets. Watch for new vendors, more entertainment, and lots of fun in the 2012 season!
Summer Sounds Concert Series
Great live music and drinks every other Friday throughout the summer at Danville's Temple Plaza outdoor stage. Bands include Monkey's X (May 24), Alex Jenkins & The Bombers Blues Band (June 7), Mike Dangeroux Orchestra (June 21), Just Us Band (July 5), Outbound Drive (July 19), and Duke Tomatoe & The Power Trio (August 2).
DAR Governor Duncan Mansion Annual Ice Cream Social
Annual Ice Cream and Dessert Social, held on the lawn of the Governor Joseph Duncan Mansion. Presented by the Reverend James Caldwell Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Suggested donation includes cake, ice cream and beverage. All proceeds to benefit the renovation of the Duncan Mansion.

Hickory Ridge Vineyard & Winery
Hickory Ridge is nestled in the hills of the Shawnee Forest, and is family owned and operated. All wines are made from grapes grown solely on the premises, and include excellent dry wines, as well as award-winning whites and rosés.
This family-owned winery manages seven acres of French-American hybrid grapevines and makes eight different wines, including reds, whites and blushes. A gift shop, and complimentary tastings and tours, are available.
A Taste of Christmas Progessive Dinner
