Brown County Fair

Shake off those winter blues, by getting out for a drive and testing your putter! The Brown County Deer Classic presents the First Annual Barn to Barn Classic. Gather your friends and family, all you need is a four person team to sign up. This putt putt contest will take you to holes designed by locals located inside barns, shops and machine sheds around the area. Dinner and live entertainment following for all paid participants at Ridgeview Winery. Entry fee is $150 per team.

Rock Falls Percussion Palooza
Percussion Palooza, an educational and entertainment event featuring a solo and ensemble competition for snare drum, melodic percussion, multi-percussion and drum set for middle and high school students and post-secondary level percussionists, will be held Feb 28th from noon to 7pm at Rock Falls High School. Also performing at the Premier Showcase are percussion ensembles and drum lines from throughout Northern Illinois and Eastern Iowa. The annual Louie Bellson Inspiration Award will also be given to honor the heritage of Rock Falls own Louie Bellson, the world renown & legendary percussionist who was born in Rock Falls.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade - Rock Island
The Quad Cities Grand Parade travels through downtown Rock Island, Illinois, and features bands, Irish dancers, floats, groups and family clans. The annual parade, organized by the St. Patrick Society of the Quad Cities, starts at 11:30 a.m.

Come and commemorate the departure of the Lewis and Clark expedition from Camp River Dubois. View life in 1803-1804 as the men prepare for their departure and re-enactors portray military life. On the grounds are craft exhibitors demonstrating early American skills, woodworking, candle making, marching drills, cooking and shooting demonstrations.
