DuPage is a premier shopping destination. Explore charming downtowns and shop at local boutiques or expansive indoor and outdoor shopping centers, like Yorktown Mall and Burr Ridge Village Center. Find your best deals on designer fashions at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago and Chicago Premium Outlets. Explore the iconic Oakbrook Center, the largest open-air shopping center in the Midwest, offering over 160 upscale specialty shops and restaurants. End your day comparing great fashion finds while unwinding over a glass of wine at Antico Posto, a cozy Italian café and wine bar.

Hidden Gems

DuPage is rich in its natural areas, begin your day with a morning walk at The Morton Arboretum. You will enjoy exploring 16 miles of trails in this magnificent outdoor museum of trees. During your walk you will be enchanted by 15 to 26 foot-tall sculptures by internationally renowned artist Daniel Popper at Morton Arboretum’s Human+Nature art exhibition. The exhibition will inspire you and highlight the deep connections between people and trees. Make sure to stop at the Gingko Restaurant and Café to enjoy a healthy assortment of beverages and locally-sourced food overlooking the Aboretum’s Meadow Lake.

Take the afternoon to discover Lizzadro Museum’s collection of treasures from gemstones to Chinese jades. This one-of-a-kind museum also features cameos, dioramas and antiquities to include important pieces from China’s Qing (Ch’ing) Dynasty of 1644 to 1912. And speaking of treasures, you don’t want to miss an exclusive Frida Kahlo exhibit at the Cleve Carney Museum of Art. Frida Kahlo: Timeless, is the largest presentation of Kahlo’s work in the Chicago area in more than 40 years. The exhibition features 26 original artworks on loan from the Olmedo Collection as part of a comprehensive presentation of Kahlo’s life and work. End your evening with a celebration of your friendship at The Drake Oak Brook, Autograph Collection. Here, you will discover the true taste of Spain from a decadent tapas menu at The Drake’s Colonial Room and enjoy an evening of music and dancing at The Drake’s Polo Lounge.

Day 3:

Wheaton, Burr Ridge, Itasca, Oak Brook, Darien & Bartlett
