Set within the prairie landscape of Governors State University, the park serves its constituency with distinctive educational outreach and original programming - encouraging an interdisciplinary understanding of sculpture and art.

Here's what is planned: 11AM–12PM-Bring the kids for fun, artsy, outdoor activities: bubbles, chalk, music, and bring your own equipment for fun on the lawn.

12PM–1PM-Enjoy finding out more about the history of Juneteenth & how the art at theNate fits with the story. Hear from our volunteer guides & special guest speakers. Bring your own picnic lunch, have a strawberry soda on us & purchase a treat from the ice cream truck.

1PM–2PM-Join the Graduate Professional Network of GSU Students to learn more about GSU’s programs, network with area professionals and advisory board members for the Nate–E Lounge Patio & Visual Arts Gallery featuring GSU Graduate Student Debbie Burk’s ceramic artwork.
