The Allyn House is now in its 27th year of operation, having opened in the spring of 1990 by Charles and Susann Allen. The Allyn House has been supplying locals and tourists alike with quality and unique home décor and souvenirs during this time. In fact, we have about 80 products that are exclusive to The Allyn House, they are not available anywhere else!

The store is essentially in two parts. The front section of the store has the majority of products with the back section of the store housing a small Al Rounds art gallery where renowned water color artist Al Rounds, displays his prints of Nauvoo. We sell 12” x 18” prints here and larger sizes can be ordered her and sent from Al’s main gallery in Salt Lake City. Also in this back section Charles Allen created a reproduction wood shop like what might have been seen in the 1840’s when the Saints were here. On display in this woodshop are some of the windows that Charles constructed. Included in the display is a star window as seen on Level 4 of the temple and a large round window as seen on Level 2. Besides our many custom made Nauvoo souvenirs including T-shirts, magnets, keychains, afghans, table runners and wall hangings, we sell quality home décor items. Some of our most popular gifts include Willow Tree figures by Susan Lordi and Demdaco and wall and shelf signs by Blossom Bucket. Also popular are tin lanterns, hand dipped candles, wooden toys, Amish shelf décor, books, pocket knives, Naked Bee lotions and soaps, Rowe Potter and lots more.
