What started as a tiny glass studio in a Chicago apartment 70 years ago has expanded to a stunning shop and studio that has been featured in Architectural Digest, HGTV and more.
Higgins Glass is a family-owned business that specializes in creating one-of-a-kind glass creations including bowls, plates, mobiles and more.
In the early 1930s, Michael and Frances Higgins met at the Chicago Institute of Design, and soon they operated their own studio out of their Chicago apartment. Together, they rediscovered and refined the ancient art of glass fusing. Today, Louise and Jonathan Wimmer serve as the Higgins' chosen successors, keeping their unique art alive at the small Riverside studio.
