Tales of the Tombstone Cemetery Walk

Join us for The Historical Society of Oak Park and River Forest's 31st Annual "Tale of the Tombstones" Cemetery Walk at Forest Home Cemetery!

Tours will depart from the cemetery's main gate in 10-minute intervals between 12 and 1:30 p.m., and the tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. Tickets are $20 or $15 for members. Purchase tickets in our online store, where you will choose your specific tour time. Members, please contact the museum by phone or email oprfhistorymatters@sbcglobal.net to purchase tickets at your discounted price. Advanced registration is required, and those who have not registered in advance may be turned away. This event is subject to changes in public health guidelines and in weather. We will update information here if we need to modify the event. Even if you cannot attend this year's walk, you can purchase a copy of the Historical Society's book, "Nature's Choicest Spot," highlighting the history and many of the famous folks laid to rest at Forest Home Cemetery.
