Down home country fair with entertainment & kids amusements!

Take a step back in time with some free outdoor family fun at the Big Rock Plowing Match. The main attraction is one of the last plowing matches in existence in the United States, a competition you have to see to believe: farmers of all ages aim to cut the straightest, cleanest lines using antique equipment in an event that dates back over a hundred years—in fact, the rules established in 1895 still apply today, including a division for mules & horses! The Plowing Match is one of the last of its kind, and truly one-of-a-kind. 

What started as a test of skill grew to include farm dinners and family activities. At the 129th annual installment of the Big Rock Plowing Match you can enjoy a horse show, browse arts & crafts, see classic cars, and root for your favorite team in an old-time baseball contest under the lights. Kids can enjoy fun activities all weekend long! Main stage entertainment brings some of the region's best country acts together on a star-studded bill.
