Triton College's on-campus space center is an educational, engaging attraction with galactic appeal.
The Cernan Earth and Space Center of Triton College features a variety of earth and sky shows, children's shows, laser light shows, and much more. The rotating feature shows allow guests to explore the stars and planets, black holes, diodiversity, and discovery voyages. Inside the lobby, guests can get up close and personal with the spacesuit worn by Gene Cernan on one of the first missions to orbit the moon. The center also houses Brachiosaurus bones, a full-scale model of a prehistoric fossilized footprint, and a fish fossil - one of the most famous in the state due to its bizarre trunk-like snout.
