Welcome aboard! Experience the power and mystique of the river as it flows east to west for one of only a few times over its length. Get a taste of the area once known as the Rock Island Rapids – considered the most dangerous section of the upper Mississippi.

The Channel Cat Water Taxi provides three (3) open-air passenger ferryboats on the Mississippi River. Service is generally provided from Memorial Day through Labor Day, with additional weekend service through October (weather permitting). Channel Cat makes stops between five docks in the Quad Cities area. Each boat accommodates 47 people and seven bicycles. The Channel Cat offers a wonderful opportunity to get out on the mighty Mississippi River and see it up close. You can get on and get off at the various docks and enjoy nearby attractions and riverfront bike trails. One fare is good all day!
