My name is Chris Doud, and I am the proud owner of Cranky Mike’s Popcorn. Popcorn has been my passion for over 20 years. When I started this business, I was a stay-at-home mom, and I knew I needed to create an opportunity for additional income that was limited to working weekends. I didn’t even know what kettle corn was, but it sounded like my ticket! Who doesn’t love a delicious bag of fresh popcorn to enjoy with their family, on their way home from work, or for a special occasion? The problem was that I didn’t know how to make it or where to sell it. After a deep dive on the internet and an endless amount of test batches, our signature recipe was born: Cranky Mike’s Kettle Corn.
The Kankakee Farmer’s Market has happily been our base of operations for many years, and we are excited to finally have a permanent home in Momence, IL. We offer a variety of classic and unique flavors, plus rotational specials. We can’t wait for our customers, both old and new, to try them all!
