Take a walking tour through scenic downtown Elgin to see various pieces of art in mediums like sculpture and mural paintings. Many can be seen while walking along the Fox River Bike Trail.

In 2017, the Elgin City Council approved the Public Art Plan for the city of Elgin. Since then, the Elgin Cultural Arts Commission has implemented several of the programs listed in the plan. One of the products of this initative is the commissioning and placement of various art pieces throughout the downtown area in Elgin. This walking tour will take you through to each piece, and give information directly form the artist about how they came to create their work. Enjoy this cultural tour while taking in scenic sights of the Fox River and the architecture of historic downtown elgin.
