Get ready for a series of high-speed races in the heart of downtown Edwardsville. Enjoy fast-paced fun at the 11th Annual Busey Bank Rotary Criterium. Hundreds of cyclists will compete for $10,000, one of the largest one-day payouts in the region!
The festival is a series of high-speed bicycle races complimented with foot races, free kid’s races, a children’s art tent, and an Entertainment Zone.
Feel bicycle racers zoom by on the 80-foot narrow course featuring several twists and turns to complete a 0.7-mile lap. Racers of varying skill levels will begin and end at the start/finish line located on Main Street.
Ditch the wheels, take to the streets, and run for a great cause! The Edwardsville Rotary Downtown Dash, sponsored by Carrollton Bank, is a 1.4-mile race to the finish! This foot race is open to a wide range of ages and running skill levels.
Bring the kids to the festival for tons of family fun! The Criterium is proud to host four free races for children under 10, sponsored by the Edwardsville Wrestling Club and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Kids are also invited to show off their creative side in the GCS Credit Union Kid Zone. Enjoy a free bicycle-themed “make it and take it” workshop! The Edwardsville Township is providing free bicycle helmet fittings for children ages 2 to 18. On-site staff will teach parents how to correctly fit their children’s helmets. Free children’s helmets available while supplies last.
New for this year is the Rotary Club Entertainment Zone. Enjoy great food, drinks and live music while watching cyclists from over 10 states compete. Adult beverages will be available within the open container perimeter.
This race is sanctioned by the USA Cycling Association and the Missouri Bicycle Racing Association (MOBRA). The event will be held rain or shine and helmets must be worn while on the bike. This unique signature event has been hosted by the Rotary Club of Edwardsville as a fundraiser for community-enhancing projects and as a gift to the people of the Edwardsville area.
