The City of Elgin is proud to support the Elgin Patriotic Memorial Association in two of their Memorial Day events, both taking place on Monday, May 27th, 2024.
The City of Elgin is proud to support the Elgin Patriotic Memorial Association in two of their Memorial Day events, both taking place on Monday, May 27th, 2024.
At Veteran’s Memorial Park (270 N Grove Ave, Elgin, IL, just north of Gail Borden Public Library), the 9:30 a.m. program pays special tribute to veterans interred at sea.
The Bluff City Cemetery (945 Bluff City Blvd, Elgin, IL) Memorial Day program takes place at Bluff City Cemetery at 11a.m., and includes several keynote speakers, musical tributes, the laying of wreaths, and a rifle salute. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair as seating is limited.
