First Ascent’s mission is to serve and grow Chicago’s vibrant climbing community by providing outstanding instruction, hosting fun events, and fostering a warm, welcoming environment. Whether you’re new to climbing or a seasoned veteran, we have the climbing classes, terrain, resources, and experience to help you reach the next level in your climbing progression and enjoy climbing to the fullest. Our climbing instruction ranges from the basics of rope skills and climbing technique to advanced climbing training and technical skills for the outdoors, Our instructors are the best: knowledgeable, experienced, friendly, and professional.
