Gaslight Art Colony is dedicated to broadening an appreciation of the Arts by providing opportunities that promote awareness, participation and understanding through fine arts exhibitions, classes and workshops.
The Gas Light Art Colony opened on Saturday, October 17, 2009. The Not-for-Profit organization will feature works from many of our very own local artists. There will be featured artists monthly, with a gallery showcasing their work. This volunteer-based organization was formed by 12 active members, and is governed by a board of directors. Folks in the community have been very supportive with items of donation used to open this gallery and art studio. Various art classes will be taught by volunteers. There will be sign-up lists for children and adults interested in Basic Art, Photography, and Ceramics, just to name a few.
