German American Central Society Sommerfest

Celebrate the beginning of Summer German-style! This event features German food, soccer, German car and bike cruis’n, arts and crafts, and entertainment.
Food served includes: Pork Schnitzel, Bratwurst, Heidelburgers, Hot Dogs, German Potato Salad, Sauerkraut, Dessert
A German Car and Motorcycle Cruis’n from noon to 5:00 pm. Anyone with a German car or bike is encouraged to participate. Admission is free. The driver will receive a coupon good for one beverage or sandwich if you arrive before 2pm.
Also our German Kunst and Handwerk Markt offers a variety of handmade items from local handy crafters. A German gift tent will be open offering a number of imported items from Germany for sale. Many of these gifts are the perfect gift for Father’s Day!
Eddie Korosa and the “Boys from Illinois” from Chicago will be performing along with other local German entertainers the Lindenhof Echoes and Al’s Pals Polka Band.
