Holiday Homecoming is one of the Midwest’s most spectacular holiday events and is the official kick-off to the holiday season in St. Charles.
Holiday Homecoming will see some changes this year. The Lighting of the Lights ceremony will be hosted virtually on Friday, Nov. 27 for all to enjoy as the Holiday season is kicked off in St. Charles.
The Saturday of Holiday Homecoming will also see some COVID-19 safety friendly changes. The annual Electric Christmas Parade is being changed to the Holiday Tree Trail, where 45 Christmas trees, decorated by businesses, organizations and individuals, will adorn the riverwalk on First Street. These trees will be up until January 1st.
Also on Saturday, Holiday Homecoming visitors can find fun acitivities between 1-4 p.m. There will be an Ice Carver on Riverside Avenue making an amazing ice sculpture, Santa's House will be open on First Street plaza with COVID-19 safety precautions in place and visitors can stroll through downtown St. Charles to see businesses partaking in the window decorating contests.
