Join us for the 5th Annual Cairo Magnolia Celebration. Not only are we commemorating our nation's 250 birthday, but we are also celebrating FIVE years for The Cairo Historical Preservation Project, Inc. That's five years of raising funds and awareness for the unique place in history that our hometown holds.
This year, we will be gathering inside our beloved 1884 Safford Public Library beginning at noon on Saturday, September 5. Come tour the library and see curated displays of Cairo history as you enjoy refreshments. An informational update about Historical Cairo, and specifically our projects and buildings, will be given by our TCHPP board.
We will end our time together with an optional caravan tour of the Cairo African American Heritage Trail locations, one of our latest collaborations. Self-tours of Magnolia Manor and the Custom House will also be available the same day, with times yet to be determined.
