Discover the holiday magic in La Grange as we deck the halls and light up the season with festive activities and enjoyable experiences for the entire family.
For weeks, La Grange celebrates the holidays and supports our local small businesses by creating “must see” photo opportunities, transforming storefronts with themed window displays, and providing engaging and safe holiday experiences in a promotional campaign called “La Grange Delivers Holiday Wishes”.
Digital Holiday Wish Book. A curated online catalog of unique holiday gifts from La Grange retailers. Consumers will be able to link to the retailer’s website directly from the La Grange Holiday Wish Book.
Festive Holiday Lights. Enjoy a stroll or drive through downtown La Grange and the West End and take in the charm of season. Adding to the hundreds of thousands of lights lining the Village's streets, enhanced lighting displays at Village Hall and Stone Avenue Station provide the perfect backdrop for a selfie or a photo with the family, whether standing under a sparkling new 13 ft tall lighted walk-in present or next to a old fashioned sleigh in front of the Village holiday tree.
Holiday Walk. Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive in La Grange! Festivities begin at 5 pm and include an all-Village sing, Santa's arrival by fire truck to the Village Hall, and the traditional lighting of the Village tree. Following the tree lighting ceremony, Santa and Mrs. Claus will greet visitors for photos at Village Hall. Retailer open houses and ice sculptures throughout the Downtown and West End invite visitors to stroll through the event area and discover the unique products and services our local businesses have to offer this holiday season. Children's activities including a kiddie train ride and petting zoo offer free fun for little ones.
