Legends, located in the heart of campus town, is the cornerstone of Illini pride. Established in 1998 and conceptualized in the spirit of the great Orange and Blue, they pay homage to the legends of yesteryear who walked the hallowed halls of the University of Illinois. Among the faces that adorn their walls are Dick Butkus, Harold “Red” Grange, John “Red” Kerr, Dike Eddleman, Jim Grabowski, Ray Nitscke, and Lou Boudreau – just to name a few. Proudly displayed, as well, is Red Grange’s football jersey, Dike Eddleman’s varsity letterman’s sweater, and an unparalleled life-size replica of Chief Illinwek – a definite must see. And, the food is good too!
