This 14.6 mile paved recreational trail runs south of Illinois Route 173 and winds past the Northern Boone County towns of Caledonia, Capron, Belvidere and Poplar Grove.
This 14.2 mile asphalt Long Prairie Trail bisects Northern Boone County. The trail passes through woodlands, cultivated fields, native prairie and the towns of Capron, Poplar Grove and Caledonia. The Long Prairie Trail follows the Kenosha Division Line railroad bed.
