National Hot Dog Day Summer Concert (IL250)

Wed, Jul 15 , 2026 • 5:30pm - 7:30pm

8901 West 123rd Street, Palos Park, IL 60464

Palos Park's National Hot Dog Day Summer Concert is an evening of live music, yard games, and of course—hot dogs loaded with classic Chicago-style fixings.

Each summer in Palos Park, Illinois, the Village Green at the Palos Park Recreation Center comes alive for the National Hot Dog Day Summer Concert, a lively community celebration that coincides with National Hot Dog Day on July 16. The event features free live music where locals gather with lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the sounds of bands like ReTurn2Soul playing soulful, feel-good tunes in the early evening. Grounds usually open in the late afternoon, with music running until around 7:30 p.m., and attendees can buy grilled hot dogs with all the classic fixings, chips, and refreshing drinks right on site—making it the perfect way to savor summer flavors and rhythms together.

What started as a simple hot dog celebration has grown into a beloved block-party style event drawing families, friends, and neighbors for an energetic mix of food, fun, and music. In addition to the live concert, the gathering often includes casual lawn games and a relaxed, festive atmosphere where kids and adults alike can mingle under the warm summer sky. Proceeds from food and beverage sales support local programs through the Recreation and Parks Department, helping fund more events and activities for the community throughout the year.
