Known for its outstanding acoustics, the 1,003-seat hall has functioned as both a classroom and performance facility.

A typical season of programming includes orchestral, wind ensemble, jazz, folk, world, contemporary as well as solo recitals, lectures, master classes, and other related events. Annual events include the Segovia Classical Guitar Series, the Kids Fare children's concert series, and a varying-themed Spring Festival featuring a host of notable guest artists.
