Celebrate the bond between Waterloo and its sister city, Porta Westfalica, Germany, at the Porta Westfalica Festival. Since its inception in 1981, this event has been a vibrant celebration featuring a lively parade, traditional German music.
Join the community of Waterloo in celebrating its sister city, Porta Westfalica, Germany! The Porta Westfalica Festival began in 1981 after the founding of Sister Cities, Portaloo in 1980. The event includes a parade, German music, food and beverages, booths and bounce houses for children. Stay to enjoy these activities and music from The Waterloo German Band and Waterloo Muncipal Band. A parade begins at 6pm at Gibault Catholic High School.
