The Public House of Woodstock is located in the Old Courthouse on the Historic Square in downtown Woodstock IL. Stop by and enjoy dining in a jail cell or in the main dining room that was the courthouse.
The Old McHenry County Courthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1974. Once the courthouse in the county seat of McHenry County. Today the courthouse is occupied by the Public House of Woodstock. It is one of the key structures in the Woodstock Square Historic District.
Public House is now known for its exceptional locally sourced cuisine. From dishes featuring locally picked sweet corn in late summer, to a choice of up to 8 homemade soups available daily and a variety of gourmet entrees and burgers, this is an excellent choice for date night!
