The Savanna Big River Fest is an entire weekend of live music, art & film in downtown Savanna.
There will be rock to country music featuring American Rebel Andy Ross, who will be filming an episode of his TV Show and shooting a music video at the event. Other bands include Orchard Fire, Lucky Tubb (from the Ernest Tubb bloodline), Classical Blast, Jerry Wells, Jacob Brice, Stone Cold Moonshine, Battle of the Bands winner Alborn Theory and Daniel Stratman. Weekend Wristband are $10.00; $1 from each goes to charities.
Andrew Meyer will be screening two films he Executive Produced: The Breakfast Club (filmed in the Chicago area) and Fried Green Tomatoes. Mr. Meyer will be available for Q&A and autographs after each screening. Location of screenings will be the Savanna Times Theatre. Tickets: $10
During the celebration of Arts & Antiques; TV celebrity and antique icon Frank Fritz will be in attendance to host some of the weekend events and share his love of old, rare and unusual collectibles. $1 from each goes to charities.
The Big River Run 5K will kick off the event on Saturday at 10am on the banks of the Mississippi River in Savanna. The $25 entry fee will include a one of a kind T-shirt and $5 from every entry goes to local VFWs in need. Winner will receive a Big River Fest prize package valued over $500.
