Located in Coal Creek Valley above the Mississippi River, Snowstar Winter Park is a family-friendly park just minutes outside the Quad Cities in Andalusia, Illinois. With 15 trails, a massive terrain park and 11 snow tubing lanes you'll find something for everyone.
Learning to ski or snowboard? Our trained instructors will teach you the key skills needed to allow you to fully enjoy our slopes and trails safely. Enjoy skiing, snowboarding, tubing, ski lifts, restaurant, and complete ski and board rentals. Skiing available every night. Features 100% snow-making equipment as well. Great winter fun for the entire family!. We offer alpine skiing, freestyle terrain park, trained and certified instruction for both alpine skiing and snowboarding. We also offer the region's only snow tubing hill that features 11 groomed lanes, a warming hut, a portable bathroom, and snacks & beverages (hot chocolate).
Snowstar also provides indoor seating in the Lunar Lodge where a full line of prepared food & beverages are available for purchase. There is also a full-service pub and internet lounge, Rex's Rendezvous. In addition, the lodge provides 2 fireplaces to warm next to. WiFi connectivity is available throughout the park. The park is also served by a custom radio station, Snowstar Radio featuring family-friendly tunes for your musical enjoyment. Beat the winter doldrums by coming out to Snowstar typically December thru most of March.
Zipline tours in late the Spring. Your tour will take you on an extreme adventure as you fly 100 feet over the ski slopes below at speeds of 35 mph. Our dual zipline is one of the longest in the Midwest at 1300 feet. We offer a full zip tour and a half zip tour. The half zip tour consists of zips one and two. It is designed to get you acquainted with how it feels to be on the zipline, and how to best take-off and land. Our full tour consists of zips one through four and offers more of a challenge as the last two zips are higher and faster. The full tour generally takes about an hour to complete.
