The South Main Mercado is an outdoor market, serving south Rockford, and the Rockford community. It started as an idea to showcase the Hispanic/Latino Community and has grown into a larger community event.
The Mercado returns! This year, the footprint will be larger than ever. It will be filled with a variety of local retail vendors (jewelry, clothing, art, more), food trucks, and a variety of community partners, especially those who office bilingual support and service. This event is meant to highlight the beauty (and importance) of south Rockford. It will be a way to open the neighborhood and its businesses up to the rest of the community. It will be a fun and engaging way for the community to interact with local small businesses.
