Experience vintage base ball (2 words in the old days) with the Oregon Ganymedes.
The Oregon Ganymedes Vintage Base Ball Clu team takes its name from the historic Ganymede’s Spring, which was named by the famous Margaret Fuller in 1840 and became a tourist destination for people visiting the Oregon area for generations.
The Ganymedes Base Ball Club has set its 2024 home team schedule. This league plays by 1858 rules. Players wear wool uniforms and play without mitts, and everyone has unbelievably good times. Bring your lawn chair or blankets. Good family fun for all!
Their home field is on the grounds of the Chana School Museum, located at Oregon Park East, 201 North River Road, in Oregon, IL. There is a special home game on the grounds of the John Deere Historic Site in Grand Detour on June 8. Free admission for all games.
