The Hispanic Heritage Festival returns for its 5th year on Sunday, September 21, 2025, bringing a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and tradition to Nelson Park in Decatur
From noon to 6 p.m., the park will come alive with the sounds of live music, colorful cultural performances, flavorful food, and activities for all ages. Community organizations will be on site, offering resources and information while families enjoy games, entertainment, and the spirit of togetherness. As the sun sets, the celebration continues with a concert at The Devon Amphitheater beginning at 7 p.m.
Organized by CHICO, a longtime advocate for immigrant and Hispanic families in Macon County, the festival highlights the organization’s mission in action. Through programs focused on education, civic engagement, youth leadership, and cultural pride, CHICO plays a vital role in supporting and uplifting the Hispanic community. The festival is not only a joyful expression of heritage but also a reflection of the work being done year-round to build a stronger, more connected community.
