The Belvidere Park District spans stretches of the Kishwaukee River and Mill Race. It's a great place for fishing, biking and playing tennis, and includes a playground, picnic shelters, pool, swinging bridge and the historic Baltic Mill.

The Belvidere Park District spans stretches of the Kishwaukee River in Boone County. Belvidere Park is one of its many facilities, comprised of 105 acres including 4 shelters, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, basketball courts, ball diamonds, playgrounds, a handicap accessible fishing pier and historical swinging bridge. Disc golf is also available for those who want to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Belvidere Park. Summer recreation includes swimming at the William Grady Pool. Located within the Belvidere Park is the Historic Baltic Mill. Built in 1845, it originally served as a grist mill. Renovated through the years, it remains the cornerstone of the Belvidere Park District. It is beautiful, rustic, and quaintly nestled amongst trees, the river, beautiful greenery, and nature itself. Events are hosted here year-round. Other facilities of the Belvidere Park District include the Rivers Edge Recreation Center, which has indoor batting and golf cages and a 35-foot climbing wall for people of all ages. Prairie Fields Sports Park is a sports facility within a park, located on 90 acres of land. Soccer fields, baseball and softball fields are available for rent and for public use. A walking path goes all the way around the facility to enjoy the outdoor weather. Newest winter facility at Doty Park is the Riverside Ice Arena. An outdoor ice rink, used for public skating and hockey in the winter, is also used during the summer for roller skating. The Belvidere Park District is beautifully maintained, and of benefit to residents and visitors of all ages.
