Cruise into Fall on the Chicago River

Looks like this event has already taken place.

Tue, Oct 26 – Sun, Nov 21, 2021

112 E. Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601

Autumn is upon us, and no essential Chicago Fall activity bucket list is complete without a Chicago Architecture Foundation Center (CAFC) River Cruise aboard Chicago’s First Lady.

The CAFC River Cruise is a 28-year partnership between Chicago’s First Lady Cruises and the Chicago Architecture Center (CAC), inspiring guests with the city’s rich architectural beauty, offering an unforgettable open-air escape in the heart of the city.

The cruise invites guests to appreciate the city’s wide variety of architectural styles—– which glide by during travel up and down all three branches of the Chicago River—including art deco, neoclassicism, mid-century modernism, and postmodernism. The 2021 season features exciting new buildings with cutting edge design elements continuing to rise along the river including the recently completed St. Regis (Vista) Tower, the city’s third tallest structure; the refurbished riverfront Old Post Office; and two of the three new skyscrapers at Wolf Point.

The 90-minute tours run through November 21 and are led by professionally-trained CAC certified-volunteer docents. Guests can experience the changing of the seasons by planning a November cruise aboard Chicago’s First Lady. To learn more and to purchase tickets, visit https://cruisechicago.com/.
