After a virtual celebration in 2020, the CU Pride Fest Parade and weekend celebration returns with its new location of Urbana!
For over a decade, Uniting Pride of Champaign County has been organizing marches, rallies, parades, entertainment, education, and outreach events to celebrate and advocate for the LGBTQ+ communities in Champaign County. This year’s Pride Fest will be designed to bring our diverse LGBTQ+ and allied communities together for a weekend of camaraderie and celebration of our past, present and future, while raising funds for the Uniting Pride programs and educating the public about the existence and continuing civil rights battle facing our community. C-U Pridefest will be held the weekend of September 24 through 26, 2021. And after a year of isolation because of COVID-19 and to recognize the significance of the 40-year anniversary of the HIV/AIDS crisis, this year’s theme is "What the Health? Fighting, Surviving, Thriving.”
