Momenta: the plural of momentum. This is the idea behind Momenta Quartet, four individuals who are in motion towards a common goal.
The ensemble's eclectic vision encompasses contemporary music of all aesthetic backgrounds alongside great music from the recent and distant past. This New York City-based string quartet has collaborated with more than 250 living composers and was praised by New York Times for its "diligence, curiosity and excellence." Equally at home in standard repertoire, The New Yorker said, "few American players assume Haydn's idiom with such ease." This will be the ensemble's first Fine Arts Series performance.
