Join the Spring Ozark Tour of scenic and historic sites of Shawnee Forest Country in Southernmost Illinois.
The tour will leave from the SIU arena in Carbondale at 8:30. Highlights of the Spring Tour include visiting “Stoneforts” in Southern Illinois. Archaeologists and Historians who have studied these stone walls will provide interpretation at the sites, as well as point out interesting sites. The tour will also include a visit to the local history museum.
Please pre-register by March 17, 2023 to get a T-shirt. Tour will end around 4:00 back at the SIU arena. Please plan appropriate footwear and clothing. Cost will be $50 per person and will include transportation, lunch, t-shirt, and program.
