Come to McHenry where we dye the river and the beer green! McHenry ShamROCKS the Fox is a 3 day festival celebrating all things St. Patrick's Day!
The weekend kicks off on Friday with live music on Miller Point. Don't stay out too late, because bright and early Saturday morning, festivities kick off with the annual Shamrock Shuffle. Post race, you'll want to jog over to the Pearl Street bridge to see the Fox River dyed green by Blarney Island from above. Grab a seat along the parade route to cheer on the many local non profits as they strut their stuff in the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. The parade will lead attendees to Miller Point where the festival kicks off. Live music will be jamming all day, and green beer will defintiley be flowing. There are plenty of food trucks to keep everyone full, and free activities for the kiddos too. Make sure to come back Sunday for more great live music and wrap up the day with a firework spectacular over the Fox.
