Annual Parade in Marion honoring veterans, past and present.
Marion proudly presents this annual parade honoring the men and women of Southern Illinois who have served our country in both war and peacetime. Bands will march and perform, alongside patriotic floats, as more than 1,000 veterans representing all branches of service ride or march in tribute. A memorial ceremony will follow on Tower Square Plaza.
Freedom Sings, USA will host its third local event this weekend, culminating in an evening concert on the Square following the parade. The performance will feature songs inspired by and written for local veterans, celebrating their stories through music.
