Bars & Taverns
We have set out to create a place that can provide an indulgent escape and offer an experience capable of quieting the typical day-to-day distractions and noise. We want Wheat Penny to feel special & exploratory.
Welcome to Wheat Penny a speakeasy cocktail bar located downtown in the heart of Effingham, Illinois! You will find us underground in a centuries-old sandstone and brick building that was originally home of the First National Bank in Effingham. We are proud to be breathing new life into this building!
