Day 1:

Arrive Friday afternoon. Stop by the Springfield Visitors Centerto pick up your Explorer Passport and other helpful information to help guide you through the weekend.
Take a little time to enjoy your accommodations before meeting up with your friends for cocktails and dinner at one of our unique local restaurants, like Vele. This is a stylish restaurant with a focus on contemporary Italian-American seafood dishes and craft cocktails. Staying up and heading out this evening? Springfield has Uber, Lyft and local cab services to be sure your night is as safe as it is fun!
Start your day with a stroll through Lincoln Memorial Gardenon Lake Springfield, a 100-acre woodland and prairie garden. Then treat yourself to a delicious breakfast or lunch at Incredibly Deliciousbefore a full day of fun. No matter if you crave something savory or sweet, you will find it there. It’s one of the things they do best and you’ve earned it!
From there, pamper yourself from head to toe at one of the many spas located throughout the city. If a spa day doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, there are many shopping options downtown or historic attractions like Edwards Place.
Late afternoon or early evening, it’s time to gather to talk about old times, tomorrow’s dreams and your weekend adventures. Just a short trip away in New Berlin is Danenberger Family Vineyards. Grab dinner at SAPORI ITALIA at the vineyard, enjoy their award-winning wine or check out a show from their WineRocks live music lineup. A perfect way to end the evening with friends.

Day 3:
Springfield
It’s been an incredible weekend. But we believe in a big finish. So, after a relaxing morning, make sure you make a stop at Custom Cup, this micro-roastery specializes in creating small batches, custom, and roast to order coffee.
Before your departure, don’t miss one of our world-class attractions: the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, or the Dana Thomas House– A Frank Lloyd Wright design. Either will provide an exquisite end to a memorable weekend with your besties.
