Legacy Martial Arts will be hosting an ATA International Taekwondo Tournament at the Oakley Lindsay Center on February 4th, 2023. The tournament is open for community members to experience sparring and form competitions.
It will be held at the Oakley Lindsay Center on February 4th of 2023. The tournament is open for community members to attend with opening ceremonies beginning at 8 a.m.
The "Bridge to Success Championship" is expected to bring over 500 competitors to Quincy. It's one of just three tournaments of this size in Illinois.
Spectators will see sparing, which is a point-based system that scores competitors based on them hitting protected targets on the body. They will also watch form competitions, which are like gymnastics floor routines, that can also be done with weapons.
